I already love Haddonfield and today, Violet made me love it even more!! Trust me when I say, I seldom do online reviews but-Violet created the MOST fantastic work of art on my hair today. I have not had such a great, fantastic, "love-it-from-the-first-day" haircut in a L-O-N-G time!!! Thank you So much Violet! The shop is sweet, the ladies are awesome, antiques, coffee, laughter and even cute little doggie bowls of water out front for the folks walking their family dogs! 5 Star all the way!!! I will be back :)

Well I must say it was a eye opening experience. I never realized how poorly my hair was treated by other chain salons. That is until I received my 1st cut at Lisa Michaels. Absolutely hands down best hairstyling I have ever received. The owner GG worked absolute magic and I looked 10 years younger. The biggest plus is she changed my hairstyle and the new version is so much easier to take care of. Fantastic I cannot come up with enough great things to say. Client for life. Highly recommend! !!

I had a great overall experience at Lisa Michaels. They took me in last minute and when they listened to my needs, they delivered a great cut I've never received anywhere else. I will be definitely returning and looking forward to a cut from Violet.

Great personality and a real pro. It's fun to take my wife and daughter. There's so much cool stuff to look at in the shop while I wait for my girls.

I don't write a lot of bad reviews..and I feel bad doing it, but... I went in with long dark hair, wanting to have it dyed a lighter medium to deep red color, and to have it cut. I had dyed it with an at-home kit previously (deep burgundy color) that made my hair look almost black instead of the color on the box, and I wanted to change it to more of a medium red, or at least a color closer to what was on the box (which I brought in to show the ladies). A color and cut on the website said about $100, which is about what I planned to spend, plus tip of course- give or take a bit. When I arrived for my appointment, the stylist was busy and I waited an additional 30 min, not a huge deal, but not a great start. When I told her what I wanted, both stylists said it would be impossible to dye my dark hair a lighter color. I'm still confused about this because a professional should know how to dye dark hair a lighter color....I see it done ALL the time. They said they wouldn't strip the color, and didn't want to bleach it, but that they agreed that they would give me lighter very thin highlights all over that would help to lighten the overall color. I don't know much about hair, so I was like...ok...I guess thats fine as long as it doesnt look stripy/ streaky and as long as the lighter color blends well with the very dark color ("like do the highlights the color that's on the box" I said (the deep burgundy). One of the woman suggested the color of the highlights be this REALLY light brown color, (hmmm, black hair with light brown highlights, when I asked for lighter red hair from the start....no thank you). So anyway, they complained about how long my hair was half the time, like it was so inconvenient for them to have to deal with all this hair. The one mainly doing my hair also kept asking the other one questions about how to do my hair, and said she never worked with hair so long (it's down to my belly button), but then later she said she worked there for 30 years or something and that she's worked with a lot of long hair...confusing. Anyway, she highlighted with peroxide, then they both put in a light reddish glaze, whilst spraying some of it in my mouth, (accidents happen). I asked how much this was going to cost before the hair cut, and she said I already racked up $170 (plus $30 tip is already going to be $200, ugg)! Sooo, I opted out of the hair cut. Then, after soaking my entire dress with water during the washing process, I finally got to look at it. Stripey, black hair with super light reddish brown streaks, some of which, are still blonde on the middle layer/underside instead of reddish brown (so much for wearing my hair up). The woman brushed and towel dried my hair but was not going to blow dry it (I'm assuming because it costs more money to have it blow dried?) I always assumed it was a "give-in" that you would get your hair blow-dried... BUT NOPE. So I paid and left the Lisa Michaels Salon with soaking wet hair dripping all over my back, (to match the wet front of my dress I suppose), and hair that is not even close to what I wanted. They even assured me before I left that the colors would blend better when it dried, and nope, it looks so much stripy-er now that it is dry (PS, I know that highlights are "streaky", but asked for it not to be such a stark difference in color, this is like black and white stripes practically). It was just not a great experience, and I would not go here again.
